Independence Day LIVE, Royal Albert Hall, London, 22 September [7pm] [tickets]

On 22 September 2016 the Royal Albert Hall will show a rather special screening of Independence Day in an event that will be both a premiere and a 20th anniversary. Although the film was released in 1996 this is the first time it’s ever been performed ‘live to picture’ or ‘live to projection’.

Conducted by Gavin Greenaway the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will perform the movie’s score live* accompanied by the Maida Vale Singers. Before the screening the film’s composer, David Arnold, will also give a talk about his work. It’s going to be wonderful!

Tickets are available from the Royal Albert Hall’s website, and box office 020 7589 8212. Doors open at 6.15pm, the event starts at 7pm and the hashtag is #ID4Live.

Produced by Tommy Pearson and U-Live Film

*the music / score track is silenced but the dialogue and sound effects remain as normal
