What a fantastic concert with @DavidGArnold in Lucerne on Friday :)

I have recently been to the utterly beautiful Lucerne* in Switzerland for David Arnold’s last (that I know of) concert of 2015.

He performed (sang, pianoed, guitared… and also wrote all the music in the first place!), to a packed audience in the KKL Luzern, with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Ludwig Wicki – it was fantastic! He chatted quite a lot with the audience, apologising for speaking English instead of Swiss German but judging from the laughter everyone understood him perfectly.

Obviously as this is a fan site you can naturally expect quite a bit of enthusiasm from me about the music but it was lovely to see and hear the audience on its feet and clapping for several minutes at the end. I do hope he releases a record cos the only time we get to hear him sing is at his concerts!

*by the way I highly recommend the red cogwheel railway trip from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm which takes you up a great big mountain on a train at a ~45 degree incline. The world needs more David Arnold concerts and more cogwheel trains up mountains.
