Edit, later that same day: Alas at the time of writing (2pm) these cheaper tickets have now gone, however tickets are fairly fluid things with people swapping them or finding they’re unable to attend at the last minute so always worth double-checking with the booking office or online. The concert is at 8pm tomorrow at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.

There are a few €20 (€18 for senior citizens / students / unwaged) tickets are available for David Arnold’s concert on Thursday, in the Choir Balcony of the National Concert Hall.
As he’s got a choir (New Dublin Voices) performing with him it would seem that a choir balcony would be the ideal place to put them. Perhaps you’ll get to sit in with them, which might be rather thrilling 🙂 You’ll certainly be behind the RTÉ Concert Orchestra (facing the conductor) but well above them, and I think next to the fantastic organ too.
How to get these cheaper tickets
- Go to https://www.nch.ie/Online/David-Arnold-22Jan15
- click on the red ‘Book now’ button just below the 007 gun barrel, then scroll down to the end of the page
- click the panel marked ‘unreserved’ at the bottom … and pick your seat. Alternatively call the box office on +353 (0)1 417 0000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
There are still some full price tickets (€45) in the Stalls and a handful in the Yellow Balcony (also full price) but the cheapest tickets available now are those mentioned above in the choir balcony
and seat T19 in the stalls (which is €40.50 for senior citizens / students or unwaged or €45 for everyone else).
It’s always worth checking for returns even on the day though, after all if the weather delays me on my ferry then mine might be up for grabs too (but I’m hoping I’ll get there on time!)
